Board of Directors
Welcome (back) to the Forest Park Flyers swim team! The Forest Park Swim Team (FPST) is an extension of the Forest Park Swimming Association located at 1766 Mendocino Drive in Concord, CA. The primary goal of FPST as a recreational swim team is for all swimmers to have fun. In addition to this goal, the coaches and swim team board will work to foster participation, develop good sportsmanship, team spirit, a good self-image, and above all, to help all swimmers improve both their skills and their times throughout the season in a friendly recreational swimming environment. FPST will also promote a sense of community that will endure beyond the swim season.
If you have any questions, please contact a Board Member. We're excited for a great season ahead.
Welcome, Swim Fast, and Have Fun!

Hello! I am the swim team Treasurer and have two swimmers on the team. We joined Forest Park in 2022 and absolutely love it! If you are looking for a family-friendly, supportive, fun, and enthusiastic swim team, you have found the right place! If you have any financial questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. You can usually find me helping at home meets as the Referee, Starter, or Stroke and Turn judge. If you are interested in one of these volunteer positions with a front-row seat at meets, let me know! See you on the pool deck.

Our family has been part of Forest Park Swim Club since 2017 and proudly cheering for the Flyers for the past four seasons. We have three swimmers—Jackson (12), Harper (10), and Roman (6)—who keep us busy both in and out of the pool. I currently serve as the Membership Director for both the Swim Team and the Swim Club and am always happy to help with any membership-related questions. During the summer, you’ll usually find us at the pool, but we also love backpacking, camping, traveling, playing board games, and seeking out new adventures together.

Raenelle Tauro is a proud mom of two FP Flyers and a non-profit professional with over 20 years of experience engaging young people, families, and educators. She currently also serves on the Forest Park Swim Club Board overseeing party reservations (Host your next event at Forest Park!). In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with friends and family, eating good food, and going on travel adventures.

I am a mama of 3 Flyers who love to call Forest Park a second home. Sylas (12) and Teddy (9) have been swimming for FPST since 2022. Jojo (6) got his fair share of races last summer, and is eager to follow in his big brother's footsteps. When we're away from the pool deck, our family of 5 can be found camping, having adventures with grandparents, doing our fair share of jujitsu grappling, and chasing some fresh winter snow in Lake Tahoe. We love Forest Park because of our amazing coaches, awesome kids, and wonderful families!

Heather and Marcie have now lead the hospitality team together for three years. If you can’t find us on the pool deck or helping facilitate activities, we are somewhere behind the scenes making the fun of swim team happen. Marcie has two swimmers. Norah in the 7/8’s group and Nolan in the 9/10’s. Heather has one swimmer on the team. You’ll find Lilly in the 11/12’s group this year. Ain’t no party like a swim team party! We’re a big family, come say hi and let us know who you are. Can’t wait for another fun swim season!

Jeff returns for his twenty-sixth season as our head coach with many exciting ideas for fun swim team activities. Jeff is a graduate of Ygnacio Valley High School and U.C. Berkeley. He also graduated from the film program at Academy of Art College. Jeff swam for the Las Juntas swim team, Ygnacio Valley High School swim team, and was a member of Ygnacio Valley High School’s boy’s water polo team. In high school, he participated in the Terrapin Pre-Senior 2 program. After graduation, he coached the Ygnacio Valley High School swim team and was an assistant coach for their water polo team. He helped get Concord High’s inaugural water polo season off the ground in fall of 2003. He was an assistant coach for Valley Vista swim team in 1999 and head coach at Forest Park since the year 2000. He is in his 11th year as head coach of Northgate High School Swim Team. We look forward to Jeff returning this season!

I am a mom of two swimmers - Natalie (16) and Mila (12). While my family just recently joined Forest Park, we have been a swimming family for many years. You can find me working at the computer desk most of the home meets. Come on by and say hi, and let me know if you have any website or swim technology questions.
