Greetings Flyer Families,

We’re so excited for the start of another fantastic season! Here are all the important details to help us get off on the right fin.

ALL ABOUT PRACTICES

• Practice starts this Monday: April 14. Monday will also be last day for team suit fittings at pool from 5:15 pm to 7:30 pm. If unable to make fitting, click HERE for order and sizing guide info. 
• NO PRACTICE WEDNESDAY, APRIL 16.
• April 14-early May schedule, 4 days, M–Th, below (schedule changes in early May and again in early June). For the full schedule, click HERE. We will notify families when changes will take place. 

• Please note, the coaches may ask your swimmer to attend a different practice based on their ability.
• All swimmers must sign in for practice. Sign-in sheets will be at the pool entrance.
• Parent/swimmer Supervision Policy: Ages 10 and under need a designated guardian on site when they are at the pool, including practice time. Ages 11 and up, supervision is only provided during swim practice times. Coaches are not responsible for supervision before or after practice times, so a designated guardian should be present for drop off and pick up before and immediately after practice.
• Practice Policies:
  • Swimmers may enter the pool only when coaches direct them to.
  • Parents: Refrain from talking to coaches on deck during practice sessions and stay in lanai or other areas away from the deck.
• Mini-Flyers:
  • NEW Mini-Flyers who have not yet done an evaluation will still need to do one before beginning practices.
  • Mini-Flyers will line up on yellow circles next to the pool and wait for coaches to direct them to lanes.
  • For minis ages 8 and under, with sharpie marker, write your child’s name on their back left shoulder for at least first two weeks.

FUNDRAISING & REGISTRATION PAYMENTS

• Payments: FPST Board Members will be collecting payments for the first two weeks at the pool and at Parent Night on May 9.
• APRIL Team Fundraisers:
  • April 24, 11am–8pm, DINE AND DONATE: California Fish Grill, 2910 Ygnacio Valley Rd, Walnut Creek. 25% of all sales will be donated to the team! Use code FUND2025 when ordering online or mention our event at the cashier.
  • April 21–May 9, BIG HOUSE BEANS FUNDRAISER. We are grateful to partner with this very special business that is operated by one of our very own FP families.
    • Swimmers may sell dark roast and medium roast coffee beans to friends and family at $20 a bag. 40% of all sales will go back to the team and count towards your individual fundraising total. That's $8 a bag! Prizes will be awarded for the number of bags sold as well as the top selling family. April and May are the perfect time to buy coffee as gifts for Mother’s Day, Father's Day, and graduates! First week of practice, Mon. & Tues., come sample coffee and find out more about this exciting fundraiser!
  • SPONSORSHIP: We're still looking for 2025 FPST Sponsors! We offer 4 levels of sponsorship with accompanying benefits packages, including credit towards team and/or club membership.
    • Confirm your sponsorship by April 30 in order to get your company logo on team shirts and swim meet advertising.

JOBS

• Parent participation is essential to running successful swim meets and programs. Every job is vital, and your involvement makes it all come together.

• Job sign-ups will happen during two windows:
  • Window 1: May 10-12–Covering events and meets from May 17–June 22.
  • Window 2: June 15-17–Covering events and meets from June 23–July 30
• In addition to swim meet jobs, you can earn points by signing up for a Power Parent Job. The following are still open: Event coordinators for the following age groups: 11-14s, 15-18s; Pasta Feed/Potato Bar Coordinator; 13 & Up Coaches Appreciation; Parent coordinator for silent auction basket for the following age groups: 8 & Under, 9/10s, 11/12s, 13 & Up
