Hello Flyer Families, 

What an amazing Swimathon we had on Saturday! Big thank you to Marla and Melanie for flipping hundreds of pancakes for our swimmers! And huge appreciation to the parents who helped with donations, set up, tallying, and cheering for your Flyers who swam their hearts out! Winners for total lap counts will be announced after our fundraiser closes next week. See more updates below. 

PET POLICY: We love your pets, but respectfully ask that they do not enter into the pool site. The city health inspector visited the pool this morning to ensure we are following this rule after a report had been made. Thank you for your cooperation. 

MEET UPDATES:

• See the meet line up for the season HERE. 
• TODAY, Bishop Bash Invitational. Email with meet info was sent directly to participating swimmers, but see all details HERE. 
• 6/11, HOME MEET vs. Oakhurst, 5:30 pm
  • FPST WARM UPS: 4:30 pm (make sure not to block driveways when parking).
  • FAMILY SEATING: Help welcome the visiting team by making sure they have space. FPST should set up closer to the lanai side of the grass. See attached meet bio for a picture that shows our section.
  • MEET PROGRAM/SHEET: Meet Program is posted to the individual meet tile on our calendar page and on home page, right column. Boy's and Girl's sheets will eventually be posted there too. 
  • • Upon arrival ALL swimmers/parents must check the Heat/Lane bulletin board (by the awning/covered area by pool) to confirm final assignments as they can change from the time the meet program is sent out to the start of the meet.
  • JOBS: Most volunteers should check in at the Jobs Check-In table at least 10-15 minutes in advance. Timers need to check in 20 minutes in advance.
    • Timers will be called to their seats 15 minutes ahead of the meet at 8:45 am.
    • At 8:45 am, any runner and relief timers should go to the Meet Desk.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFO:

• MINI-FLYER HELPER OPENINGS: Is your ages 11 and up swimmer interested in helping out with Mini Flyers? Fill out this FORM to share your availability. Coach Lucia will be in touch to confirm assignments if available. 
• PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS are now available from our coaches. Links will be on our home page. Click HERE for Coach Jeff. Click HERE for Coach Lily. Click HERE for Coach Lucia. Others coming soon!
• SWIM-A-THON UPDATE: With some strong work, we have now raised more than $9,400! There's 5 more days to meet our $10,000 goal, which we can easily do! After the fundraiser ends on June 14, we'll enter in lap counts to collect pledges based on laps and add them to our total fundraising amount. Keep it up Flyers!

  

• COACH'S APPRECIATION WEEK: It is a tradition for us to celebrate our coaches by bringing them some yummy food! Each week is hosted by a different age group.
  • This week, June 9-13 is sponsored by the 8 & Unders. Make sure to check an email sent to you from Tori or sign up to bring something HERE.
  • June 16-20 is sponsored by Ages 9/10s. 9/110s Families, sign up to bring something HERE.

• TEAM PICTURE DAY: June 13, 7:45 am, Team Photo.

• TEAM MOVIE DAY: June 13, 2:00 pm, Pleasant Hill Cinemark (How to Train Your Dragon). We have a few extra tickets. Email us to let us know if you're interested in purchasing some still. 
• TEAM BUDDY NIGHT: June 14, 5:30-8:00 pm 
  • You don't need to have a buddy assignment to attend. 
  • All swimmers are welcome (Drop-off event except for ages 5 and under who need a parent to stay and volunteer). 
  • Fee: $15; After June 11, $20
