Lot’s more going on leading up to City Meet - IMPORTANT details below. Please read carefully!

MEET, July 23 AWAY @ Las Trampas | 640 St. Mary’s Road, Lafayette CA 94549 | START: 5:30 pm | WARM UPS: 4:55 pm

PARKING is available in the Las Trampas pool parking lot. On Wednesday evenings, additional parking is available on neighboring streets. DO NOT park across the street in either lots belonging to the Lafayette Christian Church, as they have choir practice and preschool evening pickup.

• ATTENTION- OPEN JOB ALERT: We have several jobs still open for this Wednesday’s meet. Click HERE, login, sign up, earn your final points, and avoid job fees!
  • First-shift Timers need to be in their seats by 5:20 pm.
• 8 & Under Swimmers NOTICE: If we end up without shepherds tonight, each 8 & Under parent is responsible for getting their swimmer to the blocks in time for their event.

Tuesday-Friday:Coach Appreciation: We will have bags out with each Coach's name on it for swimmers to add notes of appreciation to.

Thursday, 7/24: Shrinky dink keychain craft

Thursday, 7/24, 5-7 pm, Potato Bar, Car Decorating, & Optional Hair Dyeing: Load up on carbs and decorate your car for City! 

Optional Hair Dyeing: For those interested in having their hair dyed (dye is semi-permanent, no full head - just streaks/highlights), a former Forest Park Swim Team member has offered to dye swimmer’s hair (a parent must be present and give permission). The service is free but tips are welcomed and recommended!

Friday, 7/25: Decorate a paper plate for your buddy to be displayed at City Meet. (If you will not be at this practice, decorate a plate at Potato Bar). 

SPECIAL BUDDY ACTIVITY: Another Flyer tradition we would like to continue is the making of posters for your Buddy! Please decorate and give an encouraging poster to your Buddy that is attending City Meet. Hang it up in your tent to show your flyer spirit.

CITY MEET (Please keep an eye out for a special All things City Meet email, but in the meanwhile, here are important details):

Order of Events (Please note that for individual events, there are preliminaries and finals):

Friday Evening: 50 Free (15-18), IM | Start: 6 pm | Warm-ups: 5:00-5:15 pm, open lanes, lanes 1 & 10 for starts only

Saturday: Free, Fly, Medley Relays | Start: 8:30 am | Warm-ups: 7:45-8 am, lanes 4-7

• Morning - Fly & Free Prelims
• Afternoon - Fly & Free Finals, Medley Relays

Sunday: Breast, Back, Free Relays | Start 8:30 am Warm-ups: 745-8 am, lanes 4-7

• Morning - Breast & Back Prelims
• Afternoon - Breast & Back Finals, Free Relays

Swimmer Events: To see your swimmer’s events click HERE. If you are signed up for an event for a day that you will not be attending, please contact Coach Jeff to let him know asap, [email protected].

Team Area: Map will be sent next email, but we will be just outside the pool fence/side entrance in the park like last year. NOTE: It will be WINDY again this year. Any broken pop-up tents cannot be left at pool/park.

Program Sales: Programs for purchase will be available starting 1 pm this Friday.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE:

• Thursday: Morning Only (evening is City Meet Potato Bar)
• Friday: Morning Only (but it is optional for those swimming IM at City that night)

TEAM PHOTOS: Our FPST team photo and coaches group photos are available for purchase at https://chrisoharaphotography.pixieset.com/2025forestparkflyers/! Your password to access the gallery is FPST#1. Once in the gallery, you can toggle back and forth between Individual/Buddy and Team/Coaches.
