City Meet Invitational
Concord Community Pool, 3501 Cowell Rd, Concord, CA
Friday
Saturday
Sunday
The events are split into A and B divisions based on entry time. All but IM have preliminary races with top 10 advancing to the finals. The B division allows those swimmers who may not always place in regular meets to feel a sense of accomplishment and a chance to earn a medal. The meet is organized by a committee of all the teams, so everyone is expected to work at least one job shift. Order of events: *Open 50 Free or Open IM means a single event where all ages 7&up and all genders swim together seeded by time. Every other event will have their regular age groups. Open events at the beginning and the end provide multiple opportunities for a swimmer to swim the same stroke. For example a swimmer over 9-14 who is aiming for County in free, can swim it three times - first event, the regular age group event, and last event. A swimmer hoping to improve IM can swim it twice, at the beginning and the end.
